Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 (12 Mar 2026): Baghdad City Tour

Explore Baghdad's Old Town, including the Abbasid Palace, Mustansiriya Madrasa, coppersmith markets, and Al-Mutanabi Street. Visit Bab Al-Wastani, Firdos Square, and Tahrir Square.

Day 2 (13 Mar 2026): Baghdad - Babylon - Karbala

Visit the Iraqi Museum (if open), travel to the ancient ruins of Babylon (including Saddam Hussein's palace), and end the day at the Shrine of Imam Hussein in Karbala.

Day 3 (14 Mar 2026): Najaf - Wadi al-Salam - Imam Ali Shrine - Kufa

Visit Wadi al-Salam (the world's largest cemetery), the Imam Ali Shrine in Najaf, and the Great Mosque of Kufa.

Day 4 (15 Mar 2026): Najaf - Uruk - Ur - Nasiriyah

Drive south to the ancient Mesopotamian cities of Uruk and Ur (the birthplace of the Prophet Abraham and home to the Ziggurat of Ur) before staying overnight in Nasiriyah.

Day 5 (16 Mar 2026): Nasiriyah - Marshes - Baghdad

Experience a boat ride through the southern Iraqi Marshes to see the traditional lifestyle of local tribes and water buffalo before returning to Baghdad.

Day 6 (17 Mar 2026): Baghdad - Samarra - Hatra - Mosul

Head to Samarra to see the Great Mosque and the iconic Spiral Minaret, stop at Hatra, and enjoy a night tour of Mosul.

Day 7 (18 Mar 2026): Mosul

A full-day exploration of Mosul, including the historic Old Town, rebuilt areas, damaged churches and mosques, and ancient Assyrian ruins.

Day 8 (19 Mar 2026): Mosul - Alqosh - Duhok

Visit the Rabban Hormizd Monastery and the Tomb of Prophet Nahum in Alqosh, then drive to Amedi to admire the mountain scenery before arriving in Duhok.

Day 9 (20 Mar 2026): Duhok - Lalish - Akre - Erbil

Visit Lalish Temple and the Khinis Assyrian reliefs, join the Nowruz celebration in Akre, and travel to Erbil for the night.

Day 10 (21 Mar 2026): Full Day Erbil

Explore Erbil's Old Town, drive to Rawanduz to see waterfalls and local markets, experience nature gatherings, and conclude with a farewell dinner.
