Introduction to Oman

Nestled on the southeastern edge of the Arabian Peninsula, Oman is a land of soaring mountains, windswept deserts, and sparkling turquoise seas. Unlike any other Gulf country, Oman has banned skyscrapers—so everywhere you look, classic Arab architecture and panoramic mountain views remain unspoiled. From October to April, Oman enjoys mild days and cool nights—perfect for exploring wadis, forts and coastal towns. Then, from June through September, the famous Salalah Season brings monsoon rains that turn palm groves emerald, unleash hidden waterfalls and fill the air with jasmine and frankincense.
